Mountain House - a residential rehab program for 14 adults diagnosed with mental illness located on 3 acres of oak-studded land close to the Santa Barbara Mission - was dedicated on October 22nd, 2005.

We honored, as major funders, Lillian & Jon Lovelace, and Eleanor & Clifford Wright.  Also honored was Darlene Chirman, who headed up our creek habitat restoration project - which entailed the planting of many native species along the western creekside boundary of Mountain House.  Also attending the dedication were Assemblyman Pedro Nava, who presented Phoenix of Santa Barbara with a Commendation, Supervisor Salud Carbarjal, City Councilman Das Williams, and director of the County's Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Services, Dr. Jim Broderick.

JT, executive Director of Phoenix of Santa Barbara, was presented with a tribute video made by the Phoenix staff. The video was presented to JT at the dedication by Buck Gardner, Senior Counselor at Phoenix House.  The video celebrates the work of JT and the team he assembled in developing the Mountain House project.
