Phoenix House

Phoenix House residential treatment facility – featuring the totem “New Life Arising”

Phoenix House is a state-of-the art residential treatment program for adults with psychiatric challenges.

Located in a quiet area of beautiful parks, close to downtown Santa Barbara, Phoenix House is state-licensed as a Social Rehabilitation Facility, with 12 residential beds for mentally ill adults who may also have addictions.  We have 3 private rooms available at Phoenix House for private pay.  The other 9 beds are covered by a contract with the County of Santa Barbara.

Phoenix House has round-the-clock staffing and offers over 20 hours of groups, counseling, and activities per week. Our goal is to help residents recover from mental illness and live as independently as possible in the community.

The program stay is from 3 months to 18 months depending on each individual’s needs. While at Phoenix House, clients learn to manage and reduce symptoms, learn about recovery, and develop social, recreational, and vocational skills.

We believe in empowerment and our staff is committed to help clients achieve their personal goals.

Coordinating with families is often an important element of the treatment.  Specialized drug and alcohol treatment services are also available to clients in a program we run that is conveniently located right next to the residential facility.
